The HF-90 compact transceiver is the world's smallest high power HF SSB transceiver. It is available in commercial and military specification and achieves ranges of up to 3000km without the use of satellites or mobile telephone towers. Q-MAC's VHF-90M is a low band VHF transceiver providing short to medium range communications. At only 1kg with its battery, the VHF-90M is the most compact, cost effective and versatile high performance VHF transceiver available in the tactical market today. Both the HF-90 and VHF-90M are designed for multi-role use, suiting man-portable, mobile and base station applications. Q-MAC also offers digital encryption and frequency hopping options for communications free of interception and jamming. VHF Secure Modes

The VHF-90M Low Band VHF transceiver is a state of the art communication device, specifically designed for multi-role tactical military and security applications. When combined with Q-MAC's Secure Modes option, the transceiver is capable of Frequency Hopping, Encryption and Free Channel Search (FCS), providing tactical users with secure, jam-resistant VHF communications to a military standard. With the addition of the Secure Modes option, Q-MAC's VHF-90M transceiver offers four modes of voice communication and three modes of data communication. This range allows operators to adapt to the required conditions and sensitivity of information being transferred:

HF-90M Ultralight Military Grade Manpack Package

Q-MAC is already well known for producing the world's smallest and lightest transceiver packages. Now we have lowered the weight even further. Most modern day HF Manpacks weigh over 10Kg with older generation Manpacks weighing up to 20Kg. (Many of which are still in service). The Ultralight Manpack from Q-MAC weighs only 4.5Kg and this includes the transceiver, automatic antenna tuner, antennae, handset AND battery! The Ultralight Manpack is a man portable, instant-deployment HF SSB radio communication system which in an ergonomically designed light weight backpack. It is based on the combination of HF-90M military grade transceiver, TA-99 automatic antenna tuner and a 7.6Ah Lithium Ion rechargeable battery pack. The Ultralight Manpack is compatible with most Q-MAC antenna accessories and is interoperable with the entire Q-MAC HF range with and without the Frequency Hopping Option.

This package is designed for applications requiring medium to long range communications, whilst on foot where space and weight are at a premium It is ideal where mobility is of paramount importance, given that it is compact, lightweight (total weight is approximately 4.5kg) and comfortable to carry for long periods. The Lithium Ion Battery pack and enclosure can be quick released for exchanging packs and include a charging socket which can also provide an auxiliary DC outlet for modem or other accessories. The HF-90M Manpack is totally independent of terrain and can be used whilst carried on the operators back, or when on the ground. The multi-role design of the HF-90M transceiver in the Manpack allows it to be easily removed for Base Station or Vehicle use with the addition of appropriate accessories.

HF-90 Radios

Q-MAC's HF-90 transceiver is the world's smallest high power HF SSB transceiver. The HF-90 is a commercial grade transceiver, designed for long-range manpack, portable, vehicle and fixed base station applications. Q-MAC offers the HF-90 in a variety of configurations ideally suited to commercial, humanitarian and government agency applications. The HF-90 is an extremely compact and lightweight unit, featuring only essential controls to ensure ease of operation. Not only is it simple to operate, but it is also priced competitively to suit commercial requirements. Furthermore, the HF-90 is value-engineered to ensure low cost of ownership over the long term. The HF-90 transceiver has a quality, high specification design. It provides full frequency coverage from 2-30 MHz and has capacity for up to 255 programmed channels. The unit can operate at a selected power level of up to 50W, whilst achieving low battery consumption. A full range of accessories is available, including carry packs and cases; power amplifiers; antenna tuners; chargers; and data options, further increasing the versatility of the HF-90 transceiver. The HF-90 is also extremely reliable due to the advanced SMD manufacturing process used and the overall design efficiency. The specifications of the HF-90 will enable reliable communications up to distances of 3000km.
