WACKER is expanding its product line to include a new line of heating units and dehumidifiers suitable for use on construction sites. These include six types of equipment for a variety of applications in commercial and residential construction, road building, agriculture, and other areas. All of the units are designed with a focus on safety and efficiency

For every current machine, WACKER offers a kit with a complete set of the most important wearing parts.

All of the new products share distinctive safety features like flame monitoring and temperature limiters. Furthermore, they are designed for high efficiency during extended operation so construction can continue as effectively as possible even during the cold season. High-quality components and special design details further add to the units' durability and service life.

The right unit for every need

The HE series of electric heaters is the best choice for heating smaller rooms. Its integrated thermostat independently maintains the specified temperature. A specially shaped frame makes it easy to mount the electric heater on a wall.
Oil-burning direct heaters of the HD series are designed for heating medium-sized and larger rooms. These units are a source of rapid and efficient heat. Special double-walled construction lowers noise and improves heat insulation.
HG gas heaters also provide very rapid heating. They have been safety-tested by the German Association for Gas and Water (DVGW). Their box-type design makes them easy to stack.
Oil-burning chimney heaters (HI and HM series) are ideal for heating larger rooms or tents. Attachable pipes enable concentrated heat in one area or distribution to up to four rooms (HM series) while the chimney safely leads exhaust gases away.
Dehumidifiers of the AD series are the right choice for reducing undesirable humidity from the air. A hygrostat independently maintains the humidity set point. A large collection tank and the option of connecting to a direct water runoff enable the unit to stay in service for a long time.

WACKER's line of heating products will soon be expanded
In April 2006 WACKER took over American company Ground Heaters Inc., a leader in the North American market for portable hydronic heating equipment for construction. Among other things, their products are used for thawing frozen ground and heating buildings, making it possible to handle concrete even in frost. Starting in 2007, WACKER will include these products in its own product line and offer them to its European customers.

Vibratory plates of the BPU 2540 and BPU 3050 series are known for their exceptional mobility. An integrated wheel set makes it easy to quickly move these flexible units around a construction site. The operator simply tilts the plate until the wheels contact the ground and then pushes or pulls the unit like a small wagon.

Now there are new versions of these plates equipped with the WM 170 and WM 270 WACKER motors. The new motors employ an advanced overhead cam design. Already well established in automobiles, this design type uses fewer moving parts and has fewer contact surfaces. As a result, the motors are more robust, quieter, and have plenty of power to get the job done.

These all-round plates are equally suited for paving jobs, cable installation, gardening and landscaping, or municipal needs. No matter what the current job, they always exhibit outstanding reliability thanks to a robust design and a number of well-thought-out details.

For example, when the throttle lever is in the "Off" position it drops into a protective frame that prevents damage during transport. The wheels are tough enough to handle hot asphalt one moment and then survive a drop off of a curb in the next. Handgrip damping and integrated side guidance stave off operator fatigue and increase precision.

Electric Breakers

EH 22
These electric universal breakers can be used, in addition to breaking up and demolition work, for driving in earthing rods as lightning conductors, driving in piles using special hoods, and ramming in probes to obtain soil samples for geological purposes and environmental soil examinations. The telecommunications construction sector, and fencing/tent building companies are also frequent users of this type of equipment.

EH 23 Low Vib
The hand-arm acceleration value of 4,8 m/s� makes the EH 23 Low Vib unique when it comes to vibration damping. And not only with the hand-arm vibrations but also in the reduction of vibrations transmitted from the full engine hood to the operator when supporting the breaker with his body. Plus it is quite a bit lighter than any other competitor in the same performance class. The result of these conclusive features: This results in maximum output thanks to load-free, fatigueproof operation and simple handling.

WACKER Coupled Plates - Unbeatable in Performance, Safety and Flexibility

The DPU 100-70 remote control coupled set brings together the performance of a roller with the maneuverability of a vibratory plate. Coupled plates are already a proven solution, especially for constructing railways and roads. By connecting two or three units of the 100-70, the most powerful machine in its class, you gain unbeatable performance and safety. The coupled plates really excel in situations where large rollers are impractical or inefficient - and they never compromise on compaction performance.

Maximum Health and Safety
The coupled machines set new standards for operator safety. Thanks to a proven infrared remote controller, the operator not only stands outside of the danger zone, but also avoids the dust, noise, and vibration that he would otherwise be forced to endure. In fact, the remote controller completely eliminates vibrations to hands, arms, and other body parts. Especially when building roads, railways, and dikes, the machine operator is able to work from a safe location and avoid immediate dangers of the construction site, such as moving trains or the risk of falling from a dam. These characteristics make the coupled set one of the safest solutions for high performance face sealing.

Extreme Flexibility
The machines can be used singly, in pairs, or three at a time in response to changing requirements like desired compaction performance and current working conditions (static structure loads, lack of space). Changing from one configuration to another is a simple task that can take place on the construction site and without specialized knowledge, since the machines are connected neither hydraulically nor electrically. Machines can be adapted to new conditions within just a few minutes.

High Productivity
A single DPU 100-70 is already the most powerful vibratory plate on the market. When three of these machines are coupled together, they deliver the incredible power of a 7.5-metric-ton motorized roller. This is a very economical way to compact large surface areas. And when you're working on a statically sensitive area, you can still exert tremendous compaction force without the use of a roller. Another benefit: The coupling set adapts flexibly to the ground conditions and levels out uneven spots better than a rigid drum.

They are available either with an Honda engine or also with the technically superior WACKER WM170 engine
